Last minute shopping for both of us. I seem to be catching a cold so I need something that will KILL it before it grabs hold. Anita wants a last manicure. We will redistribute some stuff in our bags and take them to be weighed at Staples. Hopefully all bags will be under the limits, especially the extremely low limit of 15 pounds for the single personal carry on allowed. My checked bag was really low last evening so I can look for some space in it for the extra weight that may be in the personal bag. That bag plus my camera bag and my 'purse' (a small backpack) are all that is allowed when you leave the US baggage regulations. Anita and I become 'international' travelers since our first stop is Doha, Qatar. One of the many surprises we found as we prepared for the trip.
According to weather.com, it's 66 in Gaborone, Botswana and 90 in Nicosia, Cyprus. Guess we will be heading in to good weather.
We met this lady and her baby in the Dulles waiting area. She and her mother were on their way to India to introduce her son to the family. Her husband will join them soon as her brother may be getting married while she is visiting. We learned that the route through Doha is shorter time wise to the Indian subcontinent and surrounding countries than other more traditional routes.I don't suspect there will be time for any posting until we reach Njale's home in Moshupa, sometime late on Wednesday.
